GUIDE
You are out of the gym, you are starving, and home is 40 minutes away. Here is the realistic Dublin version of a post-training meal.
Within about two hours of finishing: 20–40g of protein and a real portion of carbohydrate, plus fluid. Nothing exotic — a chicken sandwich on brown bread genuinely does the job.
The range is in convenience stores, supermarkets, forecourts and a growing number of gyms across Dublin — north city, south city, Swords, Malahide, Blanchardstown, Sandyford and the M1 corridor. Made daily a few miles up the road in Poppintree, Finglas.
Use the stockist finder for the nearest one. If the shop beside your gym does not have it, ask them — they can order it from Freshways directly.
Protein Packed Tuna (26g) or Chicken & Egg Club (22g) — highest protein, plenty of carbs.
Cajun or Fajita Chicken Wrap — lighter to eat when you are still warm, 22–24g protein.
Roast Chicken, Pepper & Feta Protein Box — 398 kcal, 24g protein, no bread.
